The website erdbeobachtung.info is a platform dedicated to Earth observation, providing information, resources, and insights into ✱ how satellite data is used to monitor and understand our planet.

Originally focused on the Copernicus program, the platform was later expanded to include a wider range of initiatives, applications, and data sources.

The redesign project was both extensive and complex. One of the main difficulties was the coordination and ✱ collaboration among numerous stakeholders, each with different goals and expectations. In addition, the project required a complete restructuring of the ✱ information architecture to accommodate the expanded content in a clear and accessible way.

Once a ✱ high-fidelity wireframe was developed—defining the structure and content through a highly methodical and systematic approach—the project moved into the art direction phase. This stage was crucial in reshaping the visual identity of the platform, which previously appeared outdated both in structure and aesthetics. The goal was to create a modern, engaging interface that ✱ reflects the innovative nature of space exploration. Particular attention was given to meeting ✱ high accessibility standards, reflecting the platform’s strong institutional and governmental connections.

A platform that communicates the future of Earth observation deserved a design that embodies the same sense of progress and innovation.
